FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A Casa Grande man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of human remains in two 55-gallon sealed drums.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said Ramon "Ray" Duran, 56, was booked Friday on two counts each of first-degree murder and unlawful disposal of human remains.

A statement issued by the sheriff's office said the remains in one of the drums have been identified as those of Arizona City resident James Emede, 40, who was reported missing in February 2007.

It said the remains in the other drum are believed to be those of another Arizona City resident, Sandra Dickey, also known as Sandra Starns, who also was reported missing in 2007.

According to a spokesman from the sheriff's office, Emede and Dickey were in a relationship when the two disappeared.

Nevertheless, the sheriff's office is waiting for DNA comparison results before positively identifying the second victim.

Autopsies determined both victims had been shot
